Many men in relationships are scared of settling down. They enjoy their life of freedom that they currently enjoy and are afraid of the responsibilities and changes that may come with deciding to get married or have children.

The interesting thing is once they are able to overcome this fear they often find that they enjoy their new life. Many men enjoy being fathers and spending time with their children by playing with them and teaching them about the world.

They may even become very emotional when talking about their family to other people or hearing songs about family on the television. Suddenly family becomes very important to them and it is something that keeps them strong.

Settling down could also bring them closer to their partners and make them love them even more. Of course the reverse is also true and it may end up driving them apart and so it is important to discuss what is expected of each other prior to settling down and getting any conflicts sorted out beforehand.
